About Our Firm

The firm was founded in 1975 by Perry J. (Jim) Moore, a third generation Montana rancher from Two Dot, Montana, whose interest in law began with investigating water right issues on his family ranch. As a lawyer, Jim was highly regarded for his kindness, professionalism, and integrity. He received the Jameson Award from the Montana State Bar in 2006. The award, named after the late Montana federal judge William J. Jameson, is the State Bar's highest award. It goes annually to the attorney who has exemplified the highest values of the legal profession throughout his or her career. Jim is the author of six books and several magazine articles. Jim passed away in May of 2017, but we strive to carry on his legacy and philosophies of kindness, professionalism, and integrity in all we do.
